I'm cofounder of openMaterials.org (a research group focused on open source and DIY experimentation with smart materials), of altlab.org (Lisbon's hackerspace), and of fabriculture.org (a project dedicated to promoting open source digital fabrication and maker culture in general).
I'm a phd candidate at FCSH-UNL and a visiting scholar at ITP-NYU. My academic research is funded by a scholarship from FCT-MCTES and the UTAustin|Portugal program.
