Roots and Shoots

Roots and Shoots is an educational and environmental charity in inner city London. Since 1982 we've worked with 100s of local young people to prepare them for work. More than 2000 schoolchildren a year receive environmental education here and over 1,500 adults from the local community and beyond visit our events and courses. Our half acre wild garden and adjacent green space are at the heart of the Kennington neighbourhood playing an important part in enriching urban biodiversity and enjoyed by the diverse community. Many individuals and corporate groups choose to volunteer here and our eco training centre provides affordable meeting spaces to charities and not-for-profits.
