Architect, BS.c, MAA (RIBA/ARB I)
Born in 1986, studied at the Naval Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport in Cairo, Egypt. Obtained an ARB/RIBA Part 1 Architectural/Environmental Design degree in 2008 with honours as class salutatorian. In 2007, was awarded the Part I Bronze Medal Commendation by the Royal Institute of British Architects for the entry 'Blurred Boundaries : A Communal Centre in Khan El-Khalili' in the Presidents Medals Awards. Acted as Instructor in the Fall/Spring semesters of 2009 for first year architectural engineering students at the American University in Cairo, teaching AENG 351 - Architectural Design Studio I and AENG 234 - Human Aspects in Architectural Design. In the period of 2010-2012, resided in Barcelona and obtained a MAA Masters in Advanced Architecture Degree from the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia, as well as participating in workshops focusing on issues from digital fabrication to design associativity. Currently working in Cairo for the design firm Alchemy.
