Hi, it's a pleasure to meet you.

I'm a small town guy from Clinton, Ohio who has much bigger dreams than his town would anticipate. I'm a nerd and a creative individual who loves all things food, coffee, and tech. I am Christian, but I believe in a relational Christianity more than the organized religion one you might be used to seeing. My kind of Christianity is very Jesus-centered. In following that I do a whole lot of listening, a lot less talking, and I look for the best in every individual I encounter---even when that seems impossible.

In spring of 2010, I moved out west to Vancouver, taking the job as a member of the Youth with a Mission - Mission Adventures team. A couple months later I found myself running it by default (everyone else left), and I was asked to take on more responsibility. I struggled with my finances (it was a completely volunteer job and I wasn't allowed to work in Canada because of my Visa), and personally was feeling the wear and tear of constant administration work. Most of my conversations where I talked about my concerned finances ended with the question of: "is this what you want to do?"...and then it hit me

"This isn't at all what I left Ohio to do."

Yet, there was something about this area. This dark, dank part of the world that just lured me in for a deeper glance. I still feel there is something that this culture can do to significantly impact the rest of the world, and I want to be part of that. So I finished up my outstanding obligations and started applying for jobs. That's really as far as the story goes right now...I'm for hire!
