Lorena Estrada
Lorena Estrada is a multimedia journalist and graduate of Florida International University.
The Miami-native was born to a Greek mother and a Nicaraguan father. She is fluent in Greek and Spanish, and cherishes all three of her cultures.
Throughout her college years, Lorena was a staff writer for FIU's student-run newspaper The Beacon, and interned at Mega Films, NBC6 and CBS4. She has worked as a production assistant for CBS The Early Show during Super Bowl week and NBC'S Today Show.
In April 2009, Lorena was one of two students from FIU’s School of Journalism to be nominated for the Scripps Howard Internship and Scholarship Program. She was awarded a paid, full-time internship at WFTS-TV in Tampa, FL.
