J.H. Everett

J.H. Everett's fully illustrated middle-grade nonfiction series, HAUNTED HISTORIES, is forthcoming from Christy Ottaviano Books/ Henry Holt Publishing, Inc., co-created with Marilyn Scott-Waters. Along with continuing to create new books with Marilyn Scott-Waters, he is currently co-authoring with Andy Mitchell, the biography of Hanna Barbera artist Bob Singer. He also illustrating the forthcoming picture book: The Candy Palace. Ev worked as a freelance concept book illustrator for the Jim Henson Company. He has created concept covers for Scholastic Books. He has also worked as an editor on Me and My World, and several other titles, for the educational publisher, Teacher Created Resources. He has written articles for children’s literature publications and websites including: SCBWI Kite Tales, Children’s Book Insider, and The Reading Tub. He is also now a featured author in the California Reader's Association and Authors Now! In the summer of 2011, along with Studio 5, and his wife (Dr. Rebecca Stanton), he will be leading an educational tour on children’s literature and illustration of Great Britain.
