thanks Marco- the Opteka achromat seems to help a little in terms of optical crispness- I also invested in the Manhattan LCD HD monitor- which makes a huge difference with getting the focus crisp and checking for dust on the ground glass- I clean the focusing screen with a Giottos air blaster and hold up to the light- and meticulously inspect the screen- it is time consuming but aids in getting a cleaner image- that said having an adapter doesn't ever get as crisp as the image from the HV20 'clean' without an adapter
