Born in rural upstate New York in 1976, Chris Lawrence is a multidisciplinary artist based in Philadelphia, where he received an MFA from the University of Pennsylvania. Chris has exhibited in New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Portland, OR and Melbourne, Australia. In 2010 Lawrence was awarded a one-year studio residency at AirSpace in Philadelphia and also was a 2011 visiting artist-in-residence with the Delphi Art Futures Program at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Chris is currently working on a project for The Soap Factory in Minneapolis.
