Manchester Camerata (charity no. 503675) is one of the UK's leading chamber orchestras and our mission to use the inspirational power of live music making to transform people's lives. The orchestra is based in Manchester and tours throughout the North West and beyond, performing to 70,000 people each year. The orchestra presents an annual series in Manchester and enjoys flourishing residencies in Ulverston, Stafford and Colne.
A central part of Manchester Camerata’s work is an innovative Learning and Participation programme, reaching over 10,000 people each year in the community across four main strands: children and young people in schools, early years and families, health and well-being, and our youth programme. Often inspired by the orchestra’s work on the stage, our Learning and Participation projects use music to empower positive change and personal social development.
