Digital storytelling is any story told using digital media: audio, video, photography, or any combination of the three. It is important that we teach our students the craft of telling the story no matter what digital tool we are using. That’s what I spend most of my day doing at Cathedral City High School (California) as the Coordinator and Lead Teacher in the Digital Arts Technology Academy (DATA). Digital storytellers need to be aware of language, written and spoken, visual literacy, and exhibit a sensitivity to the narrative.
