I’m interested in deciphering and dissecting the unique values, beliefs and talents of the fringe through personal encounters with them. My personal process of ethnographic research through interviews can be presented for the general public in mind as well as being a tool for design research.

Although finding insight in the extremes is a common approach within service design, it tends to focus on either users or early adopters of products or trends. I’m interested in fringe groups that are ignored by society, as a way to build possible futures. Instead of extracting only the insights from them, I want to design interesting service systems that can reconnect them with the mainstream to create new forms of relationships.
