It's a shame to find yourself in a community like this, when you don't even know how to describe what you do. Graduated CDIA-BU (before it was BU-CDIA) in 09'. I went with aspirations of becoming an editor, having already been using FCP for some 4 years throughout high school. While in school, projects found me more and more often putting on the 'producer' hat and taking the role of taking charge.

Directors know how they want a scene to play out. A DP knows how to make the camera do magic. A producer makes sure that the director has a scene to play out AND the DP has a camera with which to make said magic.

A year after school, I finally got to do the work I love.

Full knowledge of post production, from capturing all the way to compositing. In the past year, my career turned toward flash animation. I've worked as a visual effects artist/assistant editor on the PBSKidsGo! Series 'WordGirl' for 3 seasons. I didn't realize how much I loved animation until my free-lance there ended and I went back to work doing 'editing'. I miss using my imagination.
