Angela has recently produced two successful shows in the past two years, Problem Child, directed by Rob Mello at the Actor’s Workout Studio and The Credeaux Canvas, directed by Tane Kawasaki at the Son of Semele Ensemble Theater. Although Angela has directed numerous plays, including The Vagina Monologues during her acting studies at California Institute of the Arts, Box, Window, Door will be her directing debut in Los Angeles.
Born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan, Angela was lucky to have studied at the Center for Arts & Sciences (now SASSA). From seventh grade on, she studied Theater, where she acted and directed. She moved happily to further Acting studies at California Institute of the Arts and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama. Graduating in 2003, Angela pursued her acting career in film and theater. She starred in films Strange Aeons: The Thing on the Doorstep and The Dead Feed, and various roles in short films, commercials and pilots. After working with Celebration Theater as Company Manager and studying Meisner, Angela decided to start producing plays on her own. She played Amelia in The Credeaux Canvas and Denise in Problem Child. She produced and co-directed a commercial for The Credeaux Canvas, recently produced and directed a short film Cosa Nostra with the “Cool Kids” in San Francisco and is scheduled to film her own short film The Choice fall of 2010.
