Shandoah Goldman is a Canadian born, Brooklyn based choreographer. Her practice fuses dance with location, live music, video & theatre. She received a B.A. from Bennington College (2001). She has engaged in extensive international collaborations, bringing her to Japan to work with a composer (2007), as well as to Sweden where her film in collaboration with a Parisian film maker was viewed at Shootfestival (2005). She was awarded a 'Canada Council for the Arts' Grant to pursue a M.A at London Contemporary Dance School (2005). Since moving to NYC (2009), she has presented her work at Ailey CitiGroup Theatre, S.L.A.M warehouse, The World Financial Center, Anita's Way, Spoke the Hub, Joyce Soho, as well as been an artist in resident at Art Omi & chashama. She shot a video in Paris for the Gotan Project's new world tour (2009). She was awarded a travel grant to Buenos Aires from Canada Council of the arts to pursue a collective creation and residency (2011). She received a scholarship to attend NYFA's Artist as Entrepreneur Boot Camp. Her current project, 23 Skidoo, premiered in NYFA's Bootstrap Festival, (Joyce Soho) as well as the large scale site-specific version at NYC's Flatiron building (6/21/12).
