With due respect, I disagree. Bottled water is needless and wasteful. Soda is something that is harder to 'collect' or create at home, and consumed responsibly it's no less detrimental to the environment than bottled water - especially when it comes in a can and water always in plastic. Best case scenario people would be content with their own local water all the time, but as a close second we should focus on limiting the amount of disposable packaging used - and bottled water is a prime candidate for eliminating needless waste.
