At f1.4 it is possible to do sharpening in post, but at f1.0 there is a lot of blooming / glow and the sharpening does not help so much. At f1.4 the glow / blooming disappear.

In your own video you say about the pentax: "Does very well in low-lighting as expected but any bright lights turn 'milky'". So the pentax cannot be used at f1.0 also.

I used the lens at f1.4 and above, mainly f2.0 and above. Also this lens uses a 8,3mm diagonal sensor size (etc crop mode) so the dof is not as shallow as the 21,6mm diagnoal m43 sensor. As you can see in the video if you zoom in and frame an object near the camera far away from background the dof will be more shallow. Each lens has its own advantages, this is a very nice fast smooth zoom lens.
