Hi Khalid, yes I agree about turning the levels to a minimum for best quality. The only reason I set it up a bit higher for news is that I am worried the minijack cable becomes dislodged and I get no sound at all. With some in camera amplification I will at least get some audio if the jack comes loose. I am working on ways to keep the jack more secure anyway.

The Sennheiser I have does not supply phantom power but I believe you can buy a version that does.
