Matthew B. Moore

Matthew B. Moore is a grassroots independent filmmaker that calls North Carolina his home. Moore holds production degrees in both film (Associate’s Degree in Film Production – Piedmont Community College 2001) and television (Bachelor of Science Degree – University of Southern Mississippi 1993).
After starting his career as a television videographer in 1993 (WDAM TV – Hattiesburg, Mississippi), Moore turned his attention to the independent North Carolina film industry in 1997 and has never looked back. Matthew has been a staple Grip/Electric/Videographer in the NC film/industrial/television industry for the past 13 years, including his times as Head of Production/Director of Photography for Emotive Media, Adam Ross Productions and King Coyote Productions.
As a Grip or Electric, Moore has worked on13 feature films. As a writer/director/editor, Moore has taken the helm on 3 independent features and over 30 short films.
Moore has noted recognition for seven years of outstanding service with the Piedmont Community College Film and Video program as an Adjunct Instructor in Grip/Electric, Continuity and Locations and Editing. Moore takes great pride in developing film students into young filmmaking professionals.
Moore is known for his cinematography and lighting, work ethic, connections and ability to pull a production together. Matthew owns King Coyote Productions and lives in Greensboro, North Carolina with his wife (Sophia Madalana Martinez-Moore), two dogs, two cats and a bird.
