I have been Executive Director of Life of the Land since 1995. The organization is a Hawaii environmental and community action group founded in February 1970. I also serve as Secretary of the Ka Lei Maile Ali`i Hawaii Civic Club, and a member of Hui O Na Ike (HUNI) and Community Alliance on Prisons (CAP).
I have a B.A. in Economics from Queens College, City University of New York.
I am a community organizer, videographer, director, producer, peer reviewer, moot court judge, community facilitator, and provide expert testimony on ocean power, biofuels, energy and externalities.
I have represented Life of the Land in 25 contested case regulatory proceedings, primarily before the Hawaii Public Utilities Commission.
