In March of 2010 I graduated with Honours in Film Editing from AFDA Cape Town, and went on to form my first production company ‘Annawon Productions’, taking inspiration from the Algonquin name meaning leader or chief. WebCity – experts in web development and corporate branding – offered me a two year freelance contract as a video editor, graphics artist, online content producer and web developer with their various clients.
2012 was the beginning of an enduring collaboration between Steele Stride Productions, 99cents, Black Bean Productions and Annawon Productions. We produced webisodes for Checkers, Isuzu KB Bakkie, Singita Game Reserve guided tours, Okapi Luxury Brand, and Red Hot Events.
I freelance as an offline and online editor, videographer, motion graphics artist, composer, copywriter, brand manager, colour grader, web designer, web developer, IT support and visual communications lecturer. A colleague and I recently took over the publishing rights for a Scottish born Author, Ian Dallas, and will be handling cover design, formatting of the text, publication and distribution of the books. Film, video and online media inspire me, both in the technical manifestation of workflows as well as the conceptual development of narrative, and the ability to marry these two worlds in the final execution and delivery.
Clarity, refinement and purpose are underlying active dynamics that churn the cisterns of creativity, and through which I channel all my professional endeavours.
I am proficient in FCP Studio 2 (including Soundtrack Pro) as well as FCPX, Motion 5, After Effects CS5, CS6, Cinema 4D and Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator CS5 & CS6.
