I own and operate Accel Video Productions. I produce event and corporate videos. I shoot hdv with a Canon HV20 and DV with a JVC DV500. I edit with Final Cut Pro 5. I've been in business full time for more than 25 years. I was also a teacher of English for nine years at Fair Lawn High School.

I am waiting for affordable HD to mature and come down in price. I am tempted by the Panasonic HMC150, but it lacks certain features that I'm sure Panasonic will include in a future version. I don't want to invest in MPEG2. I like the H.264 codec and the promise of AVDHD, but I don't like 4:2:0 or long GOP. DVCPRO HD is past its prime, but AVC INTRA is the hot ticket. It's too expensive right now, so I'll keep shooting SD DV for my regular customers.

    JVC has not solved the Chromatic Aberration problems with both the Canon and Fuji lenses. Lots of green and magenta borders on lines. Very evident in the shots of boats on the river near the end.
