BRONX NEWYORK FUCKIN CITY
writersbench.com
Since 1984, Wane One, raised in the Bronx, has been a lively participant in the ‘Writer's Movement.’ He was an active subway writer for many years and eventually made the transition from trains to walls in the early 1990's. He was part of the first wave of writers in New York City post-subway that created subway style murals on the streets. As a member of TC-5/FC/COD crew he has traveled the world collaborating with other great style masters in places like England, Japan, New Zealand, Italy, Sweden and Panama, to name few. He is known for his crisp and unique letter style and for consistently painting when most writers from his generation have long quit.

In the late 1980’s, he made a transition to airbrushing at the now defunct Unique Boutique in NYC's Greenwich Village. It was here alongside Wen, Reas, Relm, and Baba that he honed his craft. He went on to art direct music videos and ultimately starting his own clothing line, Writer's Bench. Today he is a painter, has worked as a clothing designer for companies like Puma, Nike, Nintendo and Sean John and continues to be an active member of the graffiti community.
