Lisa Fontanesi

Lisa is the mother of two and is currently working as a consultant and instructor at several LAUSD Schools teaching KATK hands on cooking classes such as Cooks and Books and Foods from around the world. Lisa has procured grants through local Los Angeles Neighborhood Councils and non profit organizations so she can teach some of these classes to the kids who need it the most for FREE. Lisa also regularly presents her popular Family Food demos at local Los Angeles area Farmers Markets in partnership with SEE-LA. She has an on going series of Family Cooking classes at The Huntington Gardens and Japanese American National Museum and Target stores where she shares ideas on how to get the whole family involved in meal planning, preparation and enjoying foods usually thought not to be kid/family friendly.
Continuing to act, Lisa was most recently seen in a national Life Savers and Kellogg’s commercials. A few of Lisa’ quick and easy recipes are show cased in Women First magazine Dec 08, May 09.

She can also be seen in 10 healthy grilling webisodes on FOODNETWORK.COM and the new Woman’s Day Magazine Vook video Cookbook. Her ultimate goal is to help other adults discover the gift of spending time in the kitchen with their kids.

Kidding around the Kitchen –An Adventure in fun, food and family is Lisa’s newest enterprise. It is a program designed to be a television series, talk-show and news-magazine segments, web content broad casting.
