    Found several 1080p vids on YT - they all play smoothly with flash/ie8, having a frame rate of 24fps and a VBR of between 3Mbps and 5Mbps. Hope my PLUS subscription will cover vimeo's possible development of 1080p encoding from 1080i or p AVCHD uploads?

    YT are now encoding 1080p uploads to 1920x1080p AVC at ~3800kbps VBR - great for folks who have a machine with a fast processor and also a 1920x1080 or larger monitor. Any plans to do something similar?

    IE8 looking good now Daniel: a smoothly shot HD 24fps mp4 original, uploaded today by another user, plays without any jitter and the image quality is superb after your re-encoding - hard to tell the difference between the 5Mbps original and the 2Mbps vimeo conversion. Cheers, 4M2.
