I'm musician who has also worked for the BBC for 23 years and during that time, became fascinated by the way people work in organisations. The world is changing now I think the days of the paternalistic, powerful organisation are numbered. My own career has reflected this - my work is now part of a more collaborative space where anyone can work with anyone else, and can take and give inspiration and connect together in many ways to create new ideas. It's pretty exciting for all of us to be at this time of transition between the ownership of intellectual property and the power that comes from sharing.

I have a blackbird which I use with the Canon XHA1 - a much heavier camera than the 5D mark II. It also works really well with heavy cameras and I'd definitely recommend the Blackbird to anyone.

Following the thread too. Very impressive and a brilliant idea to project straight onto the CMOS. And there's something really lovely about old 8mm films.

Mark Harmer commented on keygrip, if i could (you know i would) shot with Nikon D90 and Lensbaby

It's so refreshing to see DSLR footage with sync sound - most of the video I've seen that's been shot with these cameras is of the "pictures + added music" variety - which is usually lovely but gets a bit samey, so it's nice to see something a bit different. Is there some audio issue with these cameras that means people don't really 'do' audio or is it because people have come from a stills background rather than a video background and therefore don't know about / understand the importance of audio mixing and post-pro? Just wondering as it's something I've noticed looking at all the D90 / 5D II footage out there.

Very cool - particularly like the idea of the faux-autofocus bit which does add an excellent element of realism (I'll use that idea too!!). I know from my Audio experience that to simulate realism you have to add a bit of unevenness otherwise things look / sound artificial.
