Used 5DMK2 for all shots excepts for high crane shot where HVX was used for its overcranking capabilites. The manual exposure control just had come out that week so it was nice to set shutter speed to 1/60, manually control f-stop to liking and meter with on camera light metering (didn't have cine light meter, would have been nice) . The 5D has almost 9 stops of dynamic range which isn't as good as the EX1 or Red but much better than most prosumer HD. This was particularly helpful because of the high contrast of the shoot (i.e. black talent/wardrobe, white salt). The HVX was more challenging because of its more limited dynamic range. Shot at Bonneville Salt Flats so salt served as a bounce, use reflector for a couple shots, weather was difficult, hit and miss with sunny and cloud cover. Used 1K HMI for last shot and it turned out really well to give it a cool moody look when he's drinking the beverage.
