Martin Wind
Bassist and composer Martin Wind was born in Flensburg, Germany in 1968 and moved to New York in 1996 to study at New York University (NYU) and is now a member of NYU faculty. In 2007 Martin founded the Martin Wind Quartet featuring saxophonist Scott Robinson,
Pianist Bill Cunliffe and Drummer Tim Horner. The group released its first album "Salt'n Pepper!" (Challenge Records) in 2008 and its first DVD "Live at JazzBaltica" (with Bill Mays, piano and Matt Wilson, drums) in 2010. Martin's other projects include the "Benny Green, Martin Wind, Matt Wilson Trio", "Martin Wind / Ulf Meyer Duo" as well as solo bass performances.
