…aka Noel Art & Media, Ltd. , Jon Noel Shelton was born in Kansas in the 70s. He somehow landed in Lexington, Kentucky in the early '90s. He produced an award winning public-access TV show about the Lexington art and independent film scene. The show, "Off The Air" (1998-2002) won ACE Weekly magazine's "best of Lex" award for "Best Public Access Show" in 2001. It was inspired by the PBS series "Alive From Off Center".
Jon is also a graduate of The Bluegrass Community & Technical College Filmmaking Script to Screen certificate program, taught by Arthur Rouse. He highly recommends taking it.
As an actor, Jon has worked on many locally produced independent films, including the Eastern Kentucky University student slasher film "Dying To Act" (1998), played a zombie in Jerry William's "Zeppo: Sinners from Beyond the Moon", and three films with Zombie Planet International: "Zombie Planet I & II" (2004 & 2005) and "Dance With A Vampire" (2006). In 2008, he joined the now notorious Central Kentucky Cinema Society, aka "film club"- because its members are now sworn to secrecy...
As a filmmaker, Jon's motto is: "filmmaking for filmmaking's sake!".
"In 2007, I was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, which I feel helps to explain why I have always felt compelled to collect sounds and images." - Jon Noel Shelton / Noel Art & Media, Ltd. '12
