Rock Star Supply Co.

Rock Star Supply Co. is a non-profit organization that provides homework help and creative learning opportunities to at-risk teens in Saint Paul public high schools.

The mission of Rock Star Supply Co. is to help students build a lifelong love of learning and foster an appreciation of the arts. Rock Star Supply Co. helps students stay on track to graduate and participate in programs like Admission Possible that have minimum academic requirements. RSS Co. is the first member of the St. Paul Public Schools Foundation Partnership for Academic Excellence focused on in-school tutoring for teens.

Really cool volunteers (e.g., Artists. Musicians. Writers. Lovers of art. Lovers of music. Lovers of literature. Designers. Architects. Advertising and marketing professionals. Chefs. Bakers. Gardeners. Anyone capable of inspiring a teen to try a little harder. Anyone willing to make a difference. Anyone with a few hours a month to spare.) serve in a diverse classroom with students of all backgrounds, on all subjects, and with other volunteers and staff who are enthusiastic about helping struggling students. From week to week, we may work on Algebra, Earth Science, Vocabulary or a reading of Romeo and Juliet. The classrooms are teacher supervised. Our goal is to provide that teacher support and reduce the teacher/student ratio as much as we can.

At Creative Arts High School, we also offer a program called Record Achievement—a one-on-one creative learning and vocational training, 2-credit internship program matching students with recording artists and music industry professionals.
