Valerio Ventura

i was born and raised a few blocks away from cinecitta' studios in rome, italy, and studied at the liceo artistico giorgio de chirico. i dropped out from the university of rome to come to los angeles where i worked for many years in the development of film and tv projects. in the year 2000 i started to direct tv spots and have won over a dozen awards. in 2007 i wrapped up 2 seasons as supervising art director for cartoon network on the emmy award winning tv series "class of 3000" starring the voice and music of andré 3000 (outkast). directed two music videos and an animated one with andre' 3000. last year i completed my first short film "winter", a psychological thriller that has won a GOLD REMI AWARD at the 2009 WorldFest-Houston Intl Film Festival, and currently my first book ALTERED SCAPES an art book of my work as a designer in the film industry is available at: venturaexit.com and i am currently executive creative director at grid41.com
