I first got a hold of 3d studio max from a friend of mine about 7 years ago. Back then I was learning on version 3. I was able to once again manipulate an object in 3D space except this time I had all the power. I was blown away x2! I kept using it over the years off and on refining my skills and learning new techniques as I saw them come up on my favorite 3D website (www.cgtalk.com). Of course this is when I had time. When UT3 came out and I read up on how easy it was to transfer animation files to it, I knew the time had come to embark on this journey.

I have a georgeous wife and three beautiful kids. Durring the day I am a mild mannered software analyst for a large engineering firm. At night I am a hellraising newbie machinimator trying to make something great.

cool Phil, verrrry cool. To me this is 100% about the pressure and responsibility you feel trying to maintain your life with a family. Things are often times disjointed and unorganized, but all the time they are the way you made them. I feel you brother!
