In this program, there are 48 sounds continuously looping in the background. There is one sensor per-sound that controls the sound's volume. In this case, there 12 metro stops represented and there are 4 sound recordings per-stop.
Like the monome, the instrument can be programmed for many applications. I have been working on other patches for the instrument lately. It has been used as a drum machine and also as a melodic instrument.
Essentially, each sensors sends to the computer, through midi, a CC signal that ranges from 0 - 127. -
