In any creative work, an artist should be able to express himself with any given medium. Coming from…

I use the JVC GZ HD 7 Video Camcorder with 60 gig hard drive.
I use Sennheiser Shot Gun and wireless audio microphones plugged into the external microphone input of the JVC GZ HD 7 camcorder. I also have a lot of other audio equipment to use on location projects.
I have a Smith Victor portable light kit for remote work.
I use Sony Vegas 7.0 nonlinear editing software for my productions.
I have 5 computers. Three Dell P4 desktops, 1 Dell M600 laptop, and recently I purchased an inexpensive HP dual core AMD running Windows Vista that does an OK job with 1080 i video.
I also shoot still photography with the Nikon D200 Digital still camera.
I have 12 projects streaming at Google Video. Some of my video projects can be seen at lisakassner.com
See my Website please lcflisa.com for my bio and other information.
I wish you the best of shooting for your video projects.

This is a nice promotion of these dear ladies singing. It worked for me...simple... short and sweet. Over my 40 years in broadcasting I have seen many commercials and promos. I would not hold this up as a piece of artwork or creativity.
I will bet this business model is a cooperative project. I hope these ladies sell a bunch of it.
My only critique would be how to contact these folks... what website url can I go to and find more information about this product and those making it. So I guess it fails the this is a commercial test for me.
We have a channel for people to put up demo reels of their acting work.
There has been a lot of discussion at the Vimeo Roadmap regarding a Vimeo Plus account that is coming. Perhaps we now also need a Vimeo Plus Commerical site.
Thanks for taking the time to produce, shoot, edit, and post this... it would make an interesting segment in a documentary.

I have been looking at the technical specifications on the Sanyo Xacti HD1000. It outputs in MP4. Not quite the camcorder that the JVC GZ HD 7 or HD 6.
None the less...technology is changing fast!

I am with you on this one. I agree everything is changing very quickly. This camera looks very good.
The JVC HD GZ6 has external audio inputs and a 120 gig hard drive, and shoots in 1920 X 1080P. Put it on a fluid head tripod or monopod with good audio...presto...There it is.
This was kind of my thoughts regarding the JVC GZ HD 7. Many of my colleagues marvel at what I have done recently, and you have also demonstrated on some levels the same thing.
Some union broadcast contracts now allow reporters and production assistants to shoot their own video with external audio and tripods/monopods.
The world is a changing right before our eyes!
