Choreographer, Dancer, Performance Artist
Morgan Nardi completed his dance-education in classical and modern dance in Florenz, Milan and Cannes and then danced in various theaters and companies like Teatro Comunale of Florence, of Bologna and Teatro alla Scala of Milan. He has been living in Germany since 1995 and worked as a member of the company NEUER TANZ with Wanda Golonka and VA Wölfl in Düsseldorf until 1998. In 2001 he founded together with the visual artist Naoko Tanaka the Art-Collective “Ludica. “.
His first production “Von Rosen, da beißt sie ab“ June 2002, has been awarded with the first prize „Tendances 2002“ at the festival „Cour de Capucins“,Luxembourg.
In 2003 he was nominated for the „Award of the Performing Arts“ of the state capital Düsseldorf.
The production „1, (one comma)“ was one out of the 3 best productions of the year 2003 of the federal state NRW. It took part at the festival „Tanzstrasse 2004-Contemporary dance in NRW“. It was also performed at the opening of the exhibition „D/J Brand“ at the Museum of State University of Tokyo.
In 2005 he received a scholarship of the Kunststiftung NRW for a further qualification and took part at “COLINA2005 – Collaboration in Art“, art lab curated by Rui Horta at tanzhaus nrw, Düsseldorf. Two international projects came out of this cooperation:
„Koko Doko” a collaboration with Kubilai Khan Investigations from France, and “The Corner” with the Estonian composer Sven Kuntu and Annika B. Lewis from Denmark. With these projects he was invited at the international Festival “Temps d’Images” in Paris, Montreal, Riga and at the Internationalt Levende Teater Festival in Aarhus.
Morgan Nardi was introduced with the video-performance „Koko Doko“ at BIENNALE D’ARTE of VENICE, in the supporting program “Spazi Vitali” (living spaces) on the 11th July 2007.
In february 2010 the Ludica’s installation-performance "THE CORNER“ was invited at the International Tanzplattform Deutschland 2010 in Nürnberg.
As theater director he produced in 2012: "Amletica - N.1 Studio" at the festival "Nuove Tensioni" in Ancona (Italy) and the theater-performance "Wert - Made in Bielefeld" in Bielefeld.
Morgan Nardi is currently developing a series of solo-projects in collaboration with performers, musicians and visual artists from different countries.
