    Dean,

The HF10 saves files in the MTS format. I simply copied them off of the memory card and imported them directly into CS3 on my PC. I did NOT use any of the Canon utilities to take the clips off the camera.

MTS files can really bog down a computer, as they can be hard to decompress. There is a really good utility called "AVCHD UpShift" that transcodes the files to a more easily read M2T file. (CS3 will read either one.) "UpShift" is cheap and very effective. If you are having troubles with MTS files, download a trial copy of "UpShift" and see if it helps.

    Cheers!
