CEMA
The Center for Experimental Media Arts (CEMA) is an innovative lab where artists, hackers, engineers, and scientists come together to develop new tools and methodologies for investigating and acting in the world.

The lab has been generously supported and funded by the Sir Ratan Tata Trust

Srishti offers a 2.5 year advanced diploma in Experimental Media Arts. Students participating in this innovative program are highly motivated individuals who want to make connections between the fields of art, science, and new media, and create transdisciplinary creative work.

Grounding our research in the mother discipline of the Arts allows the lab to be open to a variety of epistemologies and ways of knowing and doing. New Media allows us to develop new tools and methodologies. Our Experiments combine the rigor of the hard sciences with the non-linear and iterative processes of design thinking.

Each semester the lab focuses on a general theme that intersects with media to ground research and open up new possibilities for investigation and collaboration.
