I am a retired biologist from the Desert Research Institute and Nevada Division of Environmental Protection.
I began getting serious about photography in about 1975 and purchased a Minolta 35 mm SLR. I also had a long lens, probably 300 mm. I still have two trays full of 35 mm slides and I'm gradually digitizing them with an Epson Perfection V600. My interests are in landscape and bird photography and videos. My focus regarding videos at present is in time lapse and am amazed at the beauty and originality of those currently being published.
