Beginning with our first journey (the very first commercial trek in Nepal's Himalaya, in 1967), Mountain Travel Sobek has been dedicated to bringing the most exciting, original, and authentic adventure experiences to our trip members. And after more than four decades of running the first trips in newly opened countries and regions (most recently, North Korea!), numerous first descents of wild rivers around the globe, and more groundbreaking trips than you can shake a walking stick at, we continue to scour the map looking for innovative and evocative trips to satisfy the incurable wanderlust of thousands of repeat MTS travelers who put their trust in us time and again to provide the very best in value and travel experiences.
