Prosthesis: The Anti-Robot
Prosthesis: The Anti-Robot (anti-robot.com) is an independent art project by Vancouver based artist and engineer Jonathan Tippett, co-creator of the Mondo Spider (mondospider.com).
It is a state-of-the art, five meter tall, 2500kg, wearable walking machine. It has no active control system and the pilot must use his entire body to operate the legs and the real-time, user controlled suspension in order to achieve a stable gait.
Prosthesis is a grass roots project with an all volunteer labor force and sponsorship from local industry. It is being built at eatART Laboratory (eatart.org) and will be powered by, a cutting edge, 150kW (200hp) hybrid-electric power plant to demonstrate the power of alternative energy.

Swidhelm Ford commented on Super Turbo Jump Button by Prosthesis: The Anti-Robot Jonathan, that is the single most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Clearly there's a long way to go and there are tons of technical challenges yet to overcome but I know you'll get it done and it will be gorgeous.
