Cesar Raphael

A native of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Cesar Raphael (25) is a multi- faced creative director, writer, actor and producer. He is also the leading founder and director of the Lumiart company, a film and advertising enterprise based in Los Angeles - USA and Belo Horizonte - Brazil.

Cesar has been involved in more than 25 film projects and has already earned 14 awards with his short films. His most recent short-subject, "Piece of Paper" (Pedaço de Papel), premiered in november 2009, had garnered 12 major awards, including Best Director at the "Los Angeles Reel Film Festival", the Grand Jury Award for Best Short at the "Gasparilla International Film Festival", "Best Live Action Narrative Short Film" at the "WorldFest Houston" and "Best Short Film" at the "Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival 2011". Besides de awards, the film was also on the official selection of several film festivals in USA, Europe, Asia and Brazil.

As with "Piece of Paper", Cesar Raphael also wrote, directed and acted in his first short-subject, the award winning "The Game" (O Jogo).

As an actor, Cesar has played parts in four short films, one feature and have studied with brazilian actors Myrian Reys and Carlos Magno Ribeiro.

He has recently moved to Los Angeles and is currently working on his first feature film.
