Thanks for the feedback and glad you like the movie. As far as the camera movements go, the execution was completely old school... I just animated the tripod frame-by-frame as you would a regular puppet, using a series of pencil notch marks on a piece of white tape to keep the distance consistent. I'm sure you're also aware that there are also more sophisticated computerized motion-control rigs, but with a little careful planning, you can pull off smooth camera moves without any special equipment.
