well that is true , pd8 is more consumer based. also, was it a codec problem that was slowing you down? right now my pc hates playing .mov files without stuttering.

I agree with you , on a sub $1000 pc I bet you pd8 will run the best. click this link to see how it optimizes the cpu and GPU to finish faster. http://www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdirector/faster-performance_en_US.html use the latest patch and uninstall all othjer editors and codecs,. Runs quite fast. ( doubt Ford would approve of PD8 though!)
