Update: Loving my Kodax Zi8 and building on what I have learned from using the Flip Mino (non HD). Having discovered some of the amazing content on Vimeo, I thought this would be a good place to learn some of the filming and editing techniques that I admire.

    A thorough review! Thanks for sharing. As you say this is not optically impressive, but it's not expensive either! The enlarging macro effect you mention can be achieved with a simple magnifying lens held in front of the camera. I also suspect you could get some interesting shots looking down with a Zi8 into a microscope too! Cheers!
