AiEP is a cultural association, whose members are artistic researchers active in the field of dance, video, computer and interactive art. The main focus is to experiment, explore and develop a new methodology of interaction and coexistence between different media, within one specific project.
The group’s activity started in 1988 in Lugano (Switzerland) by Claudio Prati (videoartist), Carlo Somaini (tv producer) Marcello Mazzella (sculptor), and Ariella Vidach (choreographer) with the name of Avventure in Elicottero Prodotti.
In 1996 the contemporary dance company Ariella Vidach – AiEP (acronym of Avventure in Elicottero Prodotti) is founded in Milan.
From 1988 to the present day, the group has produced several shows, organised exhibitions and conventions on interactive art and computer graphics and taken part in a number of dance and video-dance festivals. In 2005 Ariella Vidach and Claudio Prati founded DiDstudio (Digital Interactive Dance), the headquarter of the company and Association inside Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan. Here dance classes are hold every week and public events are presented every year.
