Brian is President & Creative Director of One Hundred & Ten Communications Inc. in Halifax. 110 is a cutting edge digitally-minded business focused advertising and website development company. Brian Hickling was born Toronto but now calls Halifax home. He graduated from the Ontario College of Art in 1988 with honours and soon after secured his first job as an art director at Hayhurst Advertising in Toronto. During his 25 years in advertising

Leo Burnett, Bensimon Byrne D’Arcy, Colour and now his own firm One Hundred and Ten. He always tries to push himself, his creative teams and his clients to find fresh new ideas that break through and work hard. Some of the clients Brian has worked for
include Kellogg’s, Nike Canada, Saturn Canada, StarChoice Satellite TV, Labatts, Molson, London Life Corby’s Distillers-Canadian Club, and Moosehead Breweries,
Nova Scotia Tourism as well as Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation to name a few.
He has won countless awards for his work both in Canada and internationally, including multiple gold at the Bessie Awards, Toronto Art Directors Show, and the prestigious The One Show in New York. Brian has also has been judge at the “The
Show” in Minneapolis and was the Chair of the 2008 ICE Awards, Atlantic Canada’s Advertising Gala.
Brian is also an experienced director and has directed numerous commercials for IKEA Canada, Nike Canada and Nova Scotia Tourism and most recently co-wrote and directed a short film about the advertising business called “Advertising is Easy”
which debuted at the 2008 ICE Awards Gala.
