Ruairí Donovan - Choreography
Ruairí Donovan is re-imagining himself and the world around him. Born in Cork, he is an emerging choreographer and theatre maker whose practice centres around pattern and authenticity, biography and anti-biography. A graduate of the University College Cork with a joint honors BA in Drama and Theatre Studies and English, Ruairi went on to complete Artstrain, a certificate in Youth Arts Practice and Facilitation from NAYD. Ruairi has worked extensively in Ireland and Europe as a maker and has a keen interest in social choreography, community and youth arts practice.
Ruairí is currently an artist in residency with Daghdha Dance Company.
He has also been selected to represent Ireland as part of the Y.P.A.L network and at the prestigious DanceWeb programme as part of Impulstanz Festival, Wien, 2011.
