NAMRATA PAMNANI born in 1980 began her training in kathak with GURU SMT . BHARTI GUPTA . After 11yrs. of formal learning at Kathak Kandra New Delhi which included Foundation , a Diploma and Hons. ; she completed her Post Diploma under tutelage of PT. JAIKISHAN MAHARAJ. Namrata as also taken a formal training in Hindustani classical music and holds a diploma from prayag sangeet samiti. She is learning nuances of dhrupad from Gundecha Brothers. A graduate in economics from delhi university,Namrata decided to take her passion as profession. She as also been awarded national scholarship by ministry of culture .
As a performer she has contributed to choreographies of leading dance maestros – SMT: KUMUDINI LAKHIA; SMT. PRERNA SHRIMALI ,SMT. URMILA NAGAR , PT. RAJENDRA GANGANI, SMT. GEETANJALI LAL ,PT. JITENDRA MAHARAJ, Rani Khanam; Santosh nair, Malti Shyam ,Jaishree Acharya.
Namrata pamnani worked at Kathak Kendra Repertory for three years where she gained experience in choreography,interaction with senior kathak exponents and now she is a free lance artist . With a unique and sensitive approach to depict the rich Indian cultural heritage, Namrata has inculcated the traditional value of Kathak and has created her own space in dance. Art critics say:

She had opportunity to contribute to the choreography in the Play “Dara Shikov-A Story of Historical Betrayal”, Directed by National Award winner, Padamshri M.S. Sathiyu.
As an accomplished soloist the young dancer has performed in prestigious festivals in India and abroad.

In her effort to investigate the world of Kathak in the company of aspiring talent; Namrata has stepped into the Dance Universal as an `Educationist’ . she worked as trainer and choreographer for G. D. goenka world school sohna for two years and have been privately imparting training in kathak to many talented and inquisitive young students
She was also invited to perform at the “Gwacheon Hanmadang Festival-04” in South Korea. There she gave ecstatic performances at Heyri Festival, last Sunday Theater Festival at Dehangano and in Chu-seok Festival at the National Center for Korean Traiditional Performing Arts. In Seoul, transcending the barriers beyond Indian classical performances, she worked with Korean drummers and vocalists.
In Estonia/orient festival and in Finland/she marked an excellence working with different musicians and concept.Also in June 2005 she performed in various cities around Switzerland.
Her own creative works have been presented at conferences of Chevrolet, Rado and many international companies, promoting Arts and Culture, were based on universal concept extending beyond national frontiers.
In her workshops in India, sponsored by Sahitya Kala Parishad, and also at the WORLD DANCE CENTRE in Seoul, she delineated the spiritual aspects, besides the techniques of Indian Dance; which is the core of India’s age-long heritage. She IS ALSO IMPARTING LECTURE DEMONSTRATIONS IN KATHAK AT ATELIER ETHNOMUSICOLOGIE GENEVA AS VISITING FACULTY.
As a young emerging dancer Namrata Pamnani has conferred the following awards:-
1. National Scholarship Award, from the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India.
2. Pratibha Samman by ‘Allahabad Performance of Arts Society’ HRD.
3. Graded Artist of Delhi Doordarshan, National Channel of India.
4. ICCR impaneled artist.
The young dancer believes; `Dance is a form of self purification’. To compliment the same she is influenced by yogic practices and considers music as a part of meditation.
