Kid North is an indie-rock band from Paris, France.
Started as Mathieu Artu's solo project (RQTN), Kid North quickly became a real band with the arrival of Axel Dallou (Radius System) on bass, Gregory Hoepffner (Radius System, Dawnshape) on drums, and Gary Royant (Admiral’s Arms) on guitar.
Kid North released their first EP in early 2011, written and performed by Mathieu Artu.
Press described Kid North as a solid contender for the likes of Phoenix (Magic RPM), Foals (Rock One) and Friendly Fires (Beardrock). French radio station Ouï fm broadcasted some of their songs over the summer.
In June 2011, Kid North play their first gigs. The band performs several times in Paris, Toulouse, Lille and features on the line up of the German Rüt’n’Rock festival.
Kid North are currently working hard on their first LP.
In october 2011, the band sees it's sound spectrum enlarged with the arrival of Antoine Ollivier (Dawnshape).
