Mr. Gamache is a licensed Architect, MCG’s Sustainability Coordinator, with credentials that include LEED AP BD+C. He has been a practicing professional for 8 years, and has another previous 6 years work-study in the fi eld of Sustainable Design. During that time he worked in Germany; exclusively on Passive Houses and Net Zero buildings including a Research Facility at the University of Freiburg.
He has recently managed LEED certifi cation on Alaska’s fi rst three and only LEED Certifi ed Schools. He dedicates his work to the implementation of sustainable building practices in Alaska, reconnecting native innovations with modern technologies. He
seeks to foster solutions that are cost-effective, create healthy environments, and energy-effi ciency, with an outreaching goal to lower long-term operating and maintenance costs for the facility owner. Mr. Gamache is the Founding Chair for the Alaska Green Schools Committee, represents Alaska in Washington DC as
a Congressional Advocate lobbying to support Federal Initiatives in Alaska, is a board member for the Cascadia Green Building Council, International Living Future Institute, Board Member, and is President Elect for the Alaska Chapter Council of Educational Facility Planners international (CEFPI).
