Originally from greater Philadelphia, Dan is an independent filmmaker and professional editor who has been working in the film industry for almost a decade. A graduate of Harvard University’s renowned Visual and Environmental Studies program, Dan went on to obtain his MA in Film Production from The London Film School. Upon returning to the US, he wrote and directed numerous shorts and documentaries in collaboration with his brother, Paul. Their first feature film, which Dan also shot and edited, won Best Local Film at the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival 2012.
Additionally, Dan has been an associate producer/assistant editor on Nina Davenport’s award-winning documentary, OPERATION FILMMAKER (Grand Jury Prize, 2007 AFI Fest), and co-produced JP Tremblay’s award-winning documentary on the American media, SHADOWS OF LIBERTY (IDFA 2012, Cinema for Peace Award), among other work. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife.
